Living Quarters
There will be some nights when we will be camping… or is that some nights when we will not be camping…
Either way, we will spend a fair few nights in a tent.
The search for a tent is endless. There are so many permutations and variations in tents that it makes your head hurt after a while!
Again, after consulting the missives and advice of those that have gone before us, I made my decision.
I based it on cost and the fact that it was a “proper” tent and had been used by Bernt Tesch on his adventures. So it must be good then.
The choice was… a VauDe Space 2, which is actually sold as a 3 man tent. Damned cosy for three is all I can say!
We WILL be having a tent each!

After spending 4 nights in it, I thought that maybe I should have got a bigger one but I’m sure it will be AOK.
Got to get a groundsheet for it though! To keep the weight down – sales pitch – the sewn-in groundsheet is the same weight as the fly sheet and will easily puncture. So, for some more money, you get the extra groundsheet.
Why not sell 2 versions? Light weight and a bit heavier weight!
It looks like it’s up to the job and all the fittings seem robust enough.
