Up To Romania

Day 8 – 480 kms (2360 total)

With CPD in hand and new brake calliper on order, we finally left Passau and headed east.
Our route took us along the river Danube into Austria, where fuel is only 1.14 Euro per litre and up to Czech border. Then along the border to Crevla.
Czech Castle
Beyond the towns, rolling hills and mountains take us a bit further south and into Slovakia. As the day draws to a close in the 30 degree heat, we found a decent looking motel, where after we checked in, a coach arrived with a million oldies. They only stayed for a drink and then left, leaving us room to eat.
Room this night was 400Sk pp pn – about 12 euro each. And dinner was about 15 euro for 2 large plates of steaks, spuds and salad plus 3 beers & 2 coffees. Bargain.
