SHOCK HORROR !
Not knowing how long my Ohlins Shock had been on The Camel, and due to its precarious lean angle, it seemed wise to have it looked at by a proper dealer.
PDQ in Taplow (near Slough) www.pdq1.com are my nearest Ohlins Centre and after a brief visit to check the sag and settings, they recommended a new, stronger spring. After a full service on the existing unit, which discovered first, the old spring was bent, and though the correct colour, did not meet EU recommended shape for bananas or springs (see pic), and secondly, the pre-load adjuster didn’t work properly (I thought it seemed vaguely unresponsive). Now it is fine and dandy and I can actually steer the bike around bends now instead of careering across roads and fields trying to get from A to B.

It did seem to be quite manageable riding it this week, but have any of you ridden a Camel in the snow???
