Things were going far too well!

Woke this morning with a pain in the right foot. Unable to walk.

Off to hospital to get it checked out. One hour and twenty minutes later I have been seen buy 2 doctors, had 4 x-rays and I leave with a lightweight ankle brace and crutches. Plus a bag full of pain killers – might come in handy in the trip.

Seems I have chipped a bit of bone and put a very small hairline fracture in another, plus a lot of bruising to a tendon.

If its not better by the 19th I will just modify an old motorcycle boot to accommodate the brace and let it heal on-route.
